One of the best things you can do on your hoops journey is to build a community around it.
One of the things we always tell our students is that they are just as or more likely to get a job from a fellow classmate than from myself or one of the instructors.
We are kicking off our 3rd season of our NBA Training Camp Course and have seen our students land jobs all across the spectrum of hoops from the NBA, WNBA, G-League, NCAA, Euro, ESPN, and more.
And one of the great things about this is the community piece. We are always so grateful that those who’ve gone on to land jobs come back to our courses to share best practices with those who are coming next from our courses.
This year’s Training Camp Course will be on Tuesday evenings, Oct 1, 8, 15, 22. 5-7p PT / 8-10p ET. All sessions are recorded so if you can’t make it live, you are welcome to still be a part of it and send in questions ahead of time.
It is an opportunity to learn from those who are currently working in the NBA as we dive into how teams, players, and staff get ready for the season while simultaneously helping you get ready for the season by creating your own portfolio to build on that you can utilize when interviewing with teams.
Cost is $199.99 and there is a promo: HOOPS for 10% off
If you have other ?’s, send an email at info@getinthegame101.com and we are happy to help!
Going back to the community piece, it’s not just important as far as landing a job, you’ll find life much more fulfilling when doing it with others.
The three keys to landing an NBA job: skillset, experience, & likability. Likability comes in community.
The other ways you can build community in hoops with GITG101 are in our Book Club and Documentary Club.
We are currently going through the book, Atomic Habits by James Clear.
And we will be starting, Starting 5 on Netflix, in a few weeks.
If you’d like to be a part of either of those Slacks/Zooms, shoot us an email at info@getinthegame101.com and we will get you added.
