In the Member Articles, I like to be more specific with the ‘generalized’ stories in the other articles. 

As stated previously, NBA teams typically hire interns from July (Summer League) through October (beginning of Training Camp).  Over the last couple of years, I’ve seen a shift.  I think it is partly due to the pandemic and the shifting landscape and calendar of the NBA season. 

Certain timeframes got muddled, backlogs of paperwork with HR, and disconnects within offices (there are typically multiple levels of staff / management that sign off on a new hire). 

And now that we are back in a more natural seasonal rhythm, the rhythms of hiring practices have stayed muddled.  Which can be both a good (more opportunities year-round!) and bad (you are waiting, and waiting, and waiting) thing.
